Rabbits |
The standard 13 week
antibody production
schedule includes 2
rabbits and provides 1
pre-immune serum
collection, 4
immunizations, and 2-3
production bleeds (at
roughly 20-25ml serum
each) per animal, for a
total of approximately
80-100 ml of polyclonal
anti-sera. Final delivery can be choice of 80-100 ml anti-sera or 3-5 mg affinity purified antibody in lyophilized powder. |

Chickens |

chickens and provides 1

serum each) and 4 egg

will normally produce 2
to 3 eggs per week, with
each yolk providing
approximately 15ml of
antibodies, for a total
of approximately
80-100 ml of antibody. Final delivery can be choice of 80-100 ml antibodya or 3-5 mg affinity purified antibody in lyophilized powder. |

Guidelines: |
|
|
-For Rabbit/Chicken projects, a
minimum of 5 mg of the antigen
is required.
-For Goat projects, a minimum of
7-10 mg of antigen is required.
-A protein concentration of
1mg/ml is preferred.
-If providing a gel strip,
please stain with coomassie
blue, de-stain, rinse and cut
out the strip containing the
desired protein. Please avoid
freezing or further cutting of
the strip so that an appropriate
amount of the strip can be used
for immunization based on the
concentration. |
