Guidelines: |
|
|
-Antigen Design Assistance is
included at no extra charge
-Typically, 45-55mg of peptide
will be synthesized (at immunograde purity)
-Customers will receive all
peptide that is not used for the
project.
-Generally, it is preferable to
add a cysteine to the N or C
terminal of the peptide (if no
internal cysteines are present
in the sequence) for conjugation
to the carrier protein.
-The affinity column is included
with the package so that
additional purifications can be
run in your lab (or by Pacific
Immunology).
-On average, 2-3mg of specific
antibody will be obtained from
each purification of 25ml of
antiserum.
-In comparison to monoclonal
antibodies, affinity purified
polyclonal antibodies are
generally 1/6th of the price and
can be obtained in 1/3rd of the
time.
-With carefully chosen
immunogenic peptides and
additional purifications, very
large quantities of purified
monospecific antibodies can be
obtained. Monoclonal antibodies
will still be better suited for
applications requiring very
large quantities of identical
antibody, such as diagnostic
kits and therapeutic treatments. |
