Effective September 15, 2015, customers will be able to access CHI Scientific’s primary cell culture products through VWR.
This new supplier relationship with VWR International strengthens VWR’s position in the Life Science industry. Under the terms of the agreement, VWR will offer a range of CHI Scientific’s products, such as the PrimaCell™ system-a complete solution for culturing more than 300 types of human and animal primary cells-to its customers in North America.
The PrimaCell™ system, which includes all of the pre-made reagents that are required for tissue preparation enables optimal tissue dissociation, isolation, and proliferation of the desired cells which can greatly reduce working times from weeks to a few days. More importantly, each system includes a proprietary tissue dissociation system, OptiTDS™ that produces a maximum number of single cells from selected tissue samples; a proprietary cell contamination elimination system, FibrOut™ that inhibits fibroblast and other unwanted cell overgrowth over the desired cells; and a growth supplement and medium system that ensures optimized growth and proliferation of the desired cells.
